ANA DE ARMAS

Date of Birth: April 30, 1988

At only 27, Ana de Armas has been acting for almost half her life. The Havana-born Cuban actress began studying acting at the National Theater School at the age of 14. She landed her first film role two years later, starring in Una rosa de Francia (2006) directed by Manuel Gutiérrez Aragón. She then starred in two films in 2007: Madrigal directed by Fernando Pérez and El edén perdido directed by Manuel Estudillo.

Her major break came when she moved to Spain and landed a recurring role as Carolina on the popular Spanish TV series El Internado. She later continued her career momentum in the film Mentiras y gordas (2009), the TV series Hispania, la leyenda (2010 to 2012) and the movie Blind Alley (2011). In 2015, Ana appeared in her first major American film, starring opposite Keanu Reeves in the erotic horror film Knock Knock.

The young actress is just starting to break through into mainstream Hollywood — she can be seen once again with Keanu Reeves in the upcoming action thriller Exposed, in the biographical action film Hands of Stone alongside Robert De Niro and the crime dramedy Arms and the Dudes, starring with Miles Teller and Jonah Hill.

Ana married Spanish actor Marc Clotet in 2011, but the two divorced just two years later. Ana currently makes her home in Los Angeles.
