ANNA CAMP

Date of Birth: September 27, 1982

Growing up in South Carolina, Anna Camp revealed her theatrical talents through various school productions. After graduating from the University of North Carolina School of Arts with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2004, she moved to New York, determined to pursue a stage career. She initially landed a few commercials and off-Broadway productions and her first screen role was in the 2007 TV movie Reinventing the Wheelers, a drama set in the South. This was followed by the romantic comedy And Then Came Love. Not long after, in 2008, Anna made her way onto Broadway, scoring supporting roles in Clifford Odets’ The Country Girl and Peter Shaffer’s Equus, in which she shared a seven minute nude scene with Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe.

Things started to heat up for Anna in the years that followed. She landed a lead role in the offbeat indie comedy movie Bottleworld and a recurring role on the popular vampire drama series True Blood. She moved to Los Angeles, where she guest starred on a number of TV series such as Mad Men, Glee and The Good Wife.

Anna returned to her initial passion in 2011 when she starred in the Zach Braff play All New People at New York's Second Stage Theatre. However, her presence on the big screen continued with a role in the critically acclaimed The Help and the hit musical comedy Pitch Perfect. She was also cast in the Fox sitcom The Mindy Project.

Entertainment Weekly wasn’t exaggerating when they included Anna on the list of 2012 “Break Out” stars. The presence of the whimsical and charming actress will only grow from here as she has a list of upcoming projects on her plate including the sequel Pitch Perfect 2.

Although Anna married actor Michael Mosley in 2010, they filed for divorce less than three years later. She is currently dating her Pitch Perfect co-star Skylar Astin.
